Maria Stanienda
Maria STANIENDA graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the viola class of Prof.Marek Marczyk. She won the 2nd prize at the Young Talent Competition in Pianello Val Tidone in 2014 and was a laureate of the Wrocław Young Violists Competition in 2007.
As a member of the Chopin Piano Quintet, she is laureate of following competition: the International Competition for Chamber Ensembles “Anton Garcia” in Spain, the International Chamber Music Competition “Contessa Tina Orsi Anguissola Scotti” in Pianello Val Tidone and the 12th International Competition “Premio Citta di Padova” in Padua in 2014, the International Stasys Vainiūnas Piano and Chamber Ensembles Competition in Vilnius in 2014. She was also a finalist of the International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Pörtschach (Austria) in 2014 and of the International Chamber Music Competition“Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award” in Switzerland in 2009.
She has participated in numerous masterclasses in, e.g., Calgary, Baden-Baden, Semmering, Łańcut, Kołobrzeg, and Konin, where she worked with such professors as Ewa Guzowska, Hartmut Rohde, Siegfried Fuerlinger, Rennie Regher, Steve Dann, Nick Poulos, Stefan Kamasa, Piotr Reichert, or Ryszard Groblewski. She has also had an opportunity to participate in classes led by Krzysztof Penderecki.
In 2009 she received a scholarship to participate in the 19th Internationale Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Budapest in Austria. In 2011-2013, she took part in the project the Baltic Youth Philharmonic under the direction of Kristjan Järvi. She has worked with various orchestras, performing in, e.g., Korea, China, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Since 2016, she has been a scholar of the programme “Young Poland” of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In July 2005, as a result of Polish competition, she received a monthly scholarship of the Minister of Culture in Calgary (Canada).
She works with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and Polish Radio Orchestra.
